The dialog choices (always influenced by your character's skills), exploring new environments, all serve to remind us that Wasteland 2 is primarily a brilliant RPG, as customizing your protagonists has more impact than ever. With a cover system (which recalls the great Xcom: Enemy Unknown) and characters with various skills, these turn-by-turn clashes give you something to think about.īut the fighting is only a small part of a huge game. Fans of Baldur's Gate and Fallout 1 and 2 will jump for joy at this very subtle system of tactical combat. An exciting, high color epic amidst a devastated humanity populated by strange characters and factions. Wasteland 2's character customization is reflected all the time in the game: there is never just one way to solve the problems facing you and your many talents will always be involved.Ĭhoice is also omnipresent in the world of Wasteland 2 you can influence your adventure in many ways. Numerous skills are available, only a small part are related to combat, ranging from explosives to computer skills, passing through surgery, survival, flattery, or haggling along the way.
